MANCHESTER- The Burr and Burton Bulldogs outscored the Terriers 30-5 in the second frame, seizing control of the contest and dealing the Terriers a 65-34 loss on Thursday night.
“Gotta shake things up,” said Coach Evan Chadwick. ”We are not sticking with the game plan and it shows. We have to find guys who are willing to commit executing the plan for 32 minutes.”
Blake Bertrand started the scoring for the Terriers with a 3-point play and the Terriers defense was sound in holding the Bulldogs to 12 first quarter points.
In the second half, the Terriers got solid contributions from their bench. Ben Perry grabbed 4 rebounds in limited minutes and Aiden Weir scored on a floater that saw the Terriers play Burr and Burton close to even in the second half.
“Saw a spark from some of our bench guys,” said Chadwick.
The Terriers drop to 5-4 on the season. They travel to Springfield on Saturday for a 1pm tip with the Cosmos.
