CLARENDON- The BF boys basketball squad took little time to shake off the frigid cold in their Saturday matchup with Mill River, scoring the first nine points and extending their lead to 21 after the first quarter on their way to an 88-35 victory.
“It was good to see the ball go through the hoop,” said Head Coach Evan Chadwick, whose Terriers hit a team high 10 three pointers on the day. “All 12 of my guys scored, which was really important for us.”
Colby Dearborn led the offensive charge with 22 points, which included 5 treys. Walker James added 12 points and Jaxon Clark contributed 10 .
“At this point in the season, it’s all about consistent effort on both sides of the ball,” said Chadwick. “Despite the -10 temperatures when we got on the bus this morning, I think each of our guys gave us that consistent effort throughout the contest.”
The Terriers have little time to savor their ninth victory of the season, as they host Twin Valley on Monday. JV tips at 5:30, with Varsity slated for a 7pm start.
