WESTMINSTER–The Terriers continued their winning ways, closing out a 67-58 win over Poultney to extend their win streak to four straight as they approach mid-season.

“We were climbing uphill from the start,” said Coach Evan Chadwick. “These young men are tough, they battled through and got the W we needed.”

BF led 18-13 after one quarter and took a 3 point lead into half. Colby Dearborn (22 pts) and Jamison Nystrom (19pts) continued to improve their shooting percentage, combining for 17 points in the first half.

The Terriers seized control of the contest in the third, outscoring the Blue Devils 21-13. Jake Moore (10 pts) dominated the boards, grabbing 6 in the frame and scoring 8 points and the BF defense started to turn Poultney over, led by 2 steals a piece for Walker James and Dearborn.

The Blue Devils had some fight left, closing the deficit to as few as 5. BF was able to hit some clutch free throws down the stretch to close out the contest and jump their record to 6-3, which lands them at 6th in the current Division 3 standings.

“This is when things get really interesting,” said Coach Chadwick. “I love where we are at, but we all realize just how much better we can be. We, as a team, are all in.”

The Purple and White are back in action on Thursday at 7pm, with a showdown with the Rebels of Leland and Gray in Westminster.
