Warming up the bus at 7:30am, the Terrier boys varsity basketball squad shook off the early morning Saturday fog when they traveled to Spaulding High School in Barre, Vermont to participate in a round robin scrimmage with Fair Haven, Essex and Spaulding High Schools.
The progress witnessed throughout the day was a sight to see.
“Our guys showed a lot of resiliency and a passion to compete,” said Assistant Coach, Josh Hanson. “We went into the day emphasizing that each play was 0-0. The boys took that message to heart and competed for every possession.”
The purple and white will be back to practice on Monday and Tuesday before they head to Brattleboro for one last tune-up with the Colonels.
The JV will also get their first crack at outside competition as they will travel with the varsity. JV tip at 5:45pm with varsity to follow at 7:15pm.
Bus leaves BFUHS at 4:45pm.
