2 grueling practices, two emphatic checkmarks, the Bellows Falls Boys Basketball Family commenced the 2022-23 season exactly how Coach Evan Chadwick and his staff had hoped for; sloppy, but impressive.
“Effort was perfect,” said Chadwick. “We obviously have a lot to work on, but that’s what makes it exciting.”
JV and Varsity have been mostly divided , with several hard decisions yet to be made. “We have narrowed the varsity roster to 15 guys,” said Chadwick. “Ultimatley, we will be cutting down to 12.”
Varsity will travel to Spaulding High School this Saturday for a round robin scrimmage facing Fair Haven, Essex and Spaulding in a series of short matches, the first commencing at 10am v. FH.
“Stoked that Spaulding added us to this opening event,” said Chadwick. “Playing time will be plentiful for all.”
